Heya all found this site in my random travel searching that has some good pictures and info about growing with L.E.D lights.

Once Upon a Time............There was once a calm and rational Hopper who was happy growing away under HID, but out of curiousity he looked at alternatives such as LED's to save some money in Powerbills, but what he actually was doing was sacrificing grow potential and Bud size/density to save a few bucks. Then he went with the magic fairies and looked into high end LED's at the Elfs workshops and they were great but VERY expensive and needed all the same gear to run as with a HID set up,

So............ he went back home cranked up the HID's , gave the LED's the and never looked back, and one day when he has enough $ he will buy a Sulphur Plasma lamp and show all the LED growers that they wasted their time and money on a already outdated technology.....................and then he shall smite them all from the face of the earth, as they are truly ones who think they know something we don't and are Smug about it, like they are the only ones to ever discover this MIRACULOUS new method of growing and we are all chumps.

 

Fools.........fools all I tells ya........the end is nigh and I have my tin foil hat and HID's to protect me but the LED's are giving away our position to the Alien Overlords. The end Is Nigh!!!!!!! Gh72

there seems to be some hostility on the whole LED growing thing ... so ill leave it there as not to incur any wrath

 

yeah i have no idea about a lot of stuff, was just browsing about lights and one thing googled the next and somehow i ended up there

 

anyway time for a smoke i think ... its after midday

There is hope for you Brother, but you must tell those LED's ...."Behind me evil trickery"....."I have seen the light......and it is indeed a bright and lumenous HID".........." I banish you to whence you came".

Agreed with hopper

 

unless you can buy one of those $500 led lights, its a waste of money, even then there is not enough honest evidence to know how good they are for bud & thc making, they might me good as extra spectrums of light in addition to the normal hydro lights but wouldny put my money on them just yet!

 

& the benefits of normal grow lights is you get some warmth too

 

except with CFL which are best for the veg stage(seedlings, cloning mother/clones)

 

& I read on a form that a person that did use a led light & was having a good run with them until the buds started molding! Blue spectrum kills germs though, but I really feel that plants need UV's

 

Even with the leds they say to buy some fluro lights to help with the exposure of more spectums of light.
