Clone Mothers Growing Outdoors

Recommended Posts

Evening,

Tiss my first post, I must say I quite enjoy the site.

Question:

Is it possible to grow a mother outdoors? All the tutes I have read relate to growing clone mothers indoors under lights. Is there a reason for this? I am assuming not being able to control natural light would effect the plant and at some point it would begin to flower.

Could this be overcome by cloning a mother and stressing it in the veg stage to try and prevent it from moving into the flowering stage?

Would be nice to have a plant around the house all year round without having to run lights constantly lol

Cheers in advance and also sorry if I am being overly newbish

It's possible to revert back to the vegetation stage after flowering, I have read, if bud matterial is removed along with nodes. I figure doing this heaps would stress the plant a fair bit and she wouldn't last to long.

I guess a better question is, is it possible to have a plant growing all year round outdoors with out it withering up and packing it in? If the plant flowers when 12/12 light is present could you not just let it outside sporadically thus keeping the plant in a veg state (given the strain doesn't have auto flowering properties).

You could keep your Mama's outside - During Summer - to clean your lights or something!!:sleepyhead: Outdoor light can be unpredictable compared to HPS etc. lights. Maybe you can rest your lights & stick your Mama's outside during a long hot summer, then whip em back under lights before the days shorten!?:yahoo: .
