Auto Ak 47 Growing Info

Recommended Posts

I have a few questions on Auto's..I'm running 20 hours on 4 off for lighting is that the best lighting cycle from start to finish?

Are Auto's heavy or light feeders?

Would I be best to run fluro during veg and then swap to HPS or just run HPS the whole grow?

Any help would be greatly appreciated cheers Buzz.

P.S. tried to send shroomyshroom a this message and failed

You can use Fluro or MH for seedlings from seeds to seedlings for around 1-4 weeks depend on when they Auto AK goes into flowering mode then switch to Hps. I reckon Auto is heavy feeder because of their short lived plant. Probably finish in 60-80 days. I'm using Sun for my auto, it's maybe 1 week now and they look great. So if you doing indoor, you can control the lighting so it's even better.

sorry for late reply buzzo been busy as sorting out my out door plot and with daily life barely enough time to scratch and have sniff atm... but anyways thats a story for another thread ;)

Here as some simply instructions that i wrote out to a friend of mine who is growing some autos as well

The autos will love going out side in pots of soil just make sure it is a very well draining soil and that it is fluffy soil, the kind that you would use for a herb garden i find is great stuff :) (i prefer coco my self but am using soil this season for my out door autos as well)(I have currently got my autos in 1 part chook poo 1 part cow poo and and 4 parts herb soil i got from Safeway and they are going great - i wont need to feed them the whole grow with this mix lol ) also you don't need a big pot but you do want it to go deep as possible. The reason most ppl who grow autos get shit results aka (chucko) is because they put them in shallow pots which cause the tap root to hit something solid (the bottom of the pot) and this stunts the growth of the plant. best possible option is put em in a deep pot with fluffy soil as i advised at the start with some gypsum mixed in... this makes getting threw the soil very easy for the tap root and wont stunts its growth. DWC on the other hand well the sky is the limit(someone got 7 or 9 cant remember atm ounces from an auto AK47 in DWC) but idd save the DWC to a proven normal strain if you dont have the room to spare it for an auto.

As for cloning an auto it is doable but is not ad vised as the plant cannot be reverted back to veg, what i mean by this is the plant automatically starts to flower after 3 - 4 weeks regardless of light cycle, it is an inbuilt trigger the is triggered by the plants age and not light so no matter what you do to it, it will not reveg.

Running the autos 12/12 from start to finish is very doable but they will do better with a high light to dark time ratio. 18/6 - 20/4 the norm and seems to give the best results.

I am currently running some auto fairy lights and auto lemon skunk that i will be crossing together in a few weeks i only got em in small pots as i know what they can do in bigger pots and this in purely a seed run :) here are a few pics they are about 7 - 10 days old cant remember sorry havent been keeping a diary
