Need Some Advice

Recommended Posts

After doing a bit of reading I have discovered that Neem oil, and specifically eco-neem is a good way of preventing pests in your garden. This year I'm doing a organic guerilla grow and was looking for a pesticide that someone can recommended to protect my plants from these little pests. I read a few times that people said Eco-Neem is not meant to be used on plants that are going to be consumed, making me a bit uneasy about the whole thing.

Anyway all I'm after is a harm free spray that I can apply to my plants when I visit them to give them the best chance of surviving attacks, so something a long the lines of a Neem based product I'm guessing, or maybe one of those home-made pesticides if anyone's got a half decent one.

And what about these spider mites, I've read a lot about them and the general idea that I have come to is just to prevent them and really hope you dont get them. Will these sprays protect against all pests or do you guys use multiple ones?

Cheers

Neem oil can help you get rid of lots of pests in your garden. Try get a food certified neem oil base spray or concentrate one. You can use this for the pests until the end of harvest, but some people recommend you stop using it about the last 2 weeks, so you are not smoking or comsume the neem oil.

Ill have to try and find some then. So its oright to spray on buds? Personally don't know if I would unless I was seriously worried, wouldn't it do something to them? Does it generally help prevent spider mites?

It's really depends on your infection level on your crops and yes they will prevent spider mites and many many other pests. If there's not much pests around, just spray them on the leafs and bottom. If I were you, I personally wouldn't be spraying on the buds. But don't use them for the last 2-3 weeks of harvest. That should do it.
