What Is Your Favorite Outdoor Strain?

I'm not a professional botanist or anything but I've done a few guerilla grows. Nothing major. Most I ever grew was about 20 big Indica types I got from Kog in NSW a few years back. I think it was mullimbimby madness crossed with a thai indica. Can't remember. Whats the difference between variety and strain anyway? As I said I don't know much about the science. I'm still looking around for something to grow this year and the haze types I was recommended sound a bit hard. One reviewer said it needed curing to be worth smoking and I never bother with that. I was impressed with what I just read about Big Bud though.

 

 

Again it might be beyond my level of green thumb. A touch sensitive to pests and needs close attention. Probably better grown indoors.

 

I know that White Widow is very popular but thats an indoor type. So what kind of bush strains do you guys prefer? Just trying to get a handle on whats hot and whats not. I usually buy it in town when I'm short and the only information I get is whether its bush or hydro. looking about the net its staggering how many strains are out there.

Hey bushman ,

 

I can recomend tons of strains but it really depends on they type plant you want too grow. A good indica is Nirvana seeds Afghan. Kc brains mango is a robust sativa / indica cross. All the skunk Hybrids are mostly well suited.

 

All depends what you are looking for. Type of smoke , yield , hardiness ease too grow etc. That will help us give apropriate sugestions.

A good strain is one that yields well and finishes in time so that rippers and popo dont have time to find them.

Have a look at Nirvana's Pure Power Plant. Only problem I had was with spider mites. Easy to grow out doors.

I`ve grown hundreds of randoms over the years, very few brand names...

Skunk1 and White widow are house favorites down my way...

Most interesting plant was aShiskaberry, blue as, stank like dog turd and awesome sweet smoke...

Big Sativas love it outdoors, season can be cruel to `em at times but...

Hey Bushman, My favourite for outdoor would be Black Widow (bit easier and more bug/desease resistant than WW for outdoor) but needs to finish before rains or it will mould like a mofo. Jack Herer, Most Afghans and Anything with Northern Lights in it will do well, these are hardy strains that will take a lickin and keep on kicking.

EV is on the money, the redman/mm he has been growing is awesome, wish i had that strain. . damn it!

Try something robust, big yielder and suited to the climate your going to grow in. best wishes. Gh72

Gone with Easy Sativa and Power Plant. Didn't know about feminised seeds. Awesome stuff. Thats going to make it a lot less work. Nothing worse than spending months nurturing your favourite lady only to discover its a dude. Thanks for all the advice people. Was a great help. Looking forward to watching my garden grow. Im not sure how it goes outdoors but my mate that does hydro white rhino is the best shit ive ever smoked every grow of it. VERY POTENT nice taste with a hashy after taste, but its abit coughfy NOT HARSH it just grabs your lungs like hash. Edited October 6, 2010 by reddevil6
