Ventilation Vs Humidity

chasing some advise on a grow tent setup in a arid area of oz. problem i have is as soon as the vent fans are on the humidity level falls to the outside level which can be as low as 15%, when the fans are off humidity goes up to 50 to 70%. to cut a short story long would i be better off leaving the vent fans off not sure on the best plan off attack. thanks 4 any help

Humidity of 50-70% is fine, the problem is they also need ventilation for fresh air. For now maybe run your fans for 15mins every hour and see how that goes. This will also depend on the temperature inside the tent, you don't want it geting too hot.

 

You could try hanging a wet towel in there to up the humidity, or a bucket of water with a heater in it. There are probably some other ways to raise the humidity as well.

Heeso, i also run that battle daily, keep your fans on 24/7 and try and get your humidity right by Naycha suggestions, better less humid than too hot, battling heat in my tent today and it's only 30, bloody thing, oh well, back to it =) . My tent runs about 20-30% RH with fans on 24/7 , just keep an eye on the plants, they will drink a bit more. gh72
