State Borders?

Recommended Posts

I might possibly be taking some interstate. (SA to VIC)

We're in an old bus fitted out with beds and such.

Just wondering what exactly are they allowed to do at the state boarders?

They are allowed to do whatever they like. If they have any suspicions they can tear your bus apart. The dogs are awesome they have 40 thousand smell sensors - humans have about two thousand. They work for food rewards (don't we all) so if youhave some kibbles around the floor it wil help to distract them. Also it would be good if you could find a stray cat to take with you devilred.gif If you make a waterproof package and wash it thoroughly and then wash it again then burn some rubber and roll the package in the residue and hide in it plain sight. You should be OK. A lot depends on how you look. If you have a nice outfit (your Sunday bestcrybaby.gif) wear that. Long hair, jeans and shabby appearance will get you searched. Clean shaved is best too. Try to pick a busy time a lot of traffic will help you because the dogs get a bit tired if they are working hard. Be as relaxed as possible - but don't toke for a couple of days before you cross the border. Good luck - keep us posted - Flowerpot

There is only a checkpoint as such that I know of at the WA/SA border.. though they are looking for fruit ect more than weed, no dogs but they pop ya boot to have a look to make sure ur not carrying a bootload of fruit.. like FP said I think it makes a big diff as to how you look..

though i havent driven up much past QLD so not sure there...

well done for making it lol
