morphine34
Hi folks, Attached is a couple of photos I took of a small bud I removed from around the top of my plant (no idea what kind of strain it is - bagseed). Unless there was some male pollen in the area that mysteriously below into my cabinet which I keep in my shed, the plant is a hermaphrodite but I'm still pretty happy with the yield it looks like I will get (for my first grow anyway). I'm basing this on not having seen any male bits but seeing seeds in some of the buds. If you zoom in on the pics, you can see the trichomes - they still look pretty white to me. From what I understand, harvesting around the time when the trichomes are cloudy is the way to go in order to get more of a cerebral high? I'm having trouble telling if these are cloudy or clear though - your thoughts? Also, is it worthwhile trying to grow a hermie plant from the resulting seeds or do you think I would get a much better yield from quality seeds? cheers, Morphine ps - I notice the pistils on the top buds are turning brown but the ones lower on the plant are not - do people generally harvest the ones at the top first and give the lower ones a bit more time under the light or do you just harvest them hollus bollus? MedGrower
Hey Morph Mate i generally harvest when the trics turn from cloudy white - to Amber! yours look like they could go another couple o weeks man! Also in regards to growing beans from a hermie plant, Mate in most cases Seeds from a hemie plant will be Hermie also-Because it has reproduced with itself! therfore carring on the hemie traits that we all hate so much!GoodLuck MG
merl1n
Hi Morph,I fully agree with MG. It looks nice but those trichs could be left a bit longer. At the moment they look crystal clear sparkly almost, let them colour up a bit. As for hermi seeds, don't waste your time, maintaining hermi traits is the last thing you want.
