Moving From Indoors To Outdoors

The Devil

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have misjudged my plant height when i put them into flower. "Looks like the stretch was larger than i thought".

Anyways, a couple of them are almost touching the lights now, and i would like to move them from indoors to outdoors.

They have hundreds of small buds all over them, so i gather the transformation shouldn't revert back to vegetative state yeah? they are currently on an 11hr lights on cycle.

Being that the weather is so crappy in Bris at the moment, should i wait a little while longer till the sun starts to shine and the rain stops?

Are there any pitfalls or reasons i should know about by moving them outdoors?

I did throw a couple of little seedlings outdoors months ago, to see what the cold weather would do, they didn't grow past the 1st two spikey leaves, but these have actually started flowering also with very heavy resinous small buds, but have not reached more than 4inches tall & are spindly, so i can see that this cooler weather won't kill them.

The other thing i did was to polinate one of these little plants to get some seed, the pollen has been gone for about 10days now (i did it with a brush). Is there any chance by moving my other guys close to this female that she will somehow turn the others in seed also. I don't think it's possible but thought i should ask.

The other reason that i would really like to move them outdoors is, that i am sick of vacuuming fungal gnats twice a day & don't really feel like doing this for another 2months or however long the flowering process will be finished.

Many thanks in advance......

Hi The Devil,

I had the same problem as you during flowering and I tied all my plants down to make some head space. Make sure you compensate for the tips turning upwards towards the light if you choose to bend. Also the stems are not as flexible during flowering, I bent a couple of plants too far, they did not snap but folded over which I had to lift back into shape and put some duct tape around the stem. They are all doing well.

G`day Dev

Just to clarify a couple of things 1 reveging ;realy depends on the genetics of the plants ie some will revert easier than others .If you do google search on sunrise sunset times you can get a handle on day length ,yesterday was the Equinox 12/12 day night the days get about a miute longer per day for the next month so mid Oct 12.5 hour day .

2; the other plants will not devolop seeds unless pollen is available therefore unless there is a male plant nearby or a plant turns hermaphrodite no pollen an no seeds .

Hope this is helpful.

Elmer Bud.

Thanks,

I should have been a little more specific.

The plants have been flowering now for close to 5weeks. Only one still has tiny pistiles coming out of it,but the rest are covered in buds the size of a plastic coke bottle lid. Would these size buds "still" convert back to veg? And if they do, does that mean i just pick the buds off them & continue growing?? i'll do this outdoors.

The tie down option is not an option for me, they are protruding out of the cupboard doors now & with only 4 plants in there, there is no more room.

I'm sort of glad now i had to discard 3 males & a hermaphrodite :)
