Sorry mate but I dont think LED is the best... Might be the best depending on your situation, but pretty sure HID kicks it to the curb. Give LED another 10 years or so. However if you have a very small cabinet or box, and you only want small plants and heat and ventilation might be an issue, LED might be the go for you! You should get a 250w HPS or something for your first grow :) and a 130w fluro for seedlings :P
