Sniffer Dog Gets The Munchies

Taipan, the sniffer dog, has nabbed an airline passenger who was carrying more than his munchies in a chip packet at Darwin Airport.

 

Resealed inside the Cheetos chip bag was 17 grams of cannabis, hidden inside the 33-year-old man's luggage.

 

It failed to fool Taipan who sniffed out another larger stash inside a 29-year-old man's backpack at the same airport soon after.

 

Advertisement: Story continues belowThe second man was carrying 37.9 grams of cannabis divided into 40 small clip seal bags wrapped in glad wrap and brown packing tape.

 

Both men were booked on a flight to Groote Eylandt and have been charged with drug possession and supply.
