Female Seeds?

Gday all

 

Well the time has come to do all the reading and searching on new strains that i would like to grow and im seeing alot of Female seeds now available.

 

Its been a few yrs since ive grown and i cant wait to get back into things..

 

Ive had a look at a few Seed Banks but ive gone back to Planet Skunk for my seeds. I have orded 5 x Mazar Female Seeds from Dutch Passion and 5 x Cheese Female Seeds from Greenhouse Seeds.

 

Is Female seeds the way to go or just a pipe dream..Please share you thoughts on the subject.

Hi Dallas, I purchased some fem seeds when they first started making an appearance, out of 10, 5 were female.

Having said that I haven't tried of late. I do believe they have come a fair way since then.

Yer ive read conflicting reports on the performance of female seeds

 

Would be nice to see what people say about them now.

G'day dallas, Fem seeds have hermie genetics ! Can you gaurantee that there is no males near your outdoor grow !Many fem seeds throw out nanners late in the grow i believe ! I have'nt tried growing any ...but i dont like the thought of them getting pollinated outdoors ! All the best !

Nothing wrong with fem seeds, I have orded heaps, all female and only had a couple of banana's at the bottom pups(twice outta loads of fem beans).

 

GHS fems are shit hot m8, go with them all the way also the cheese is a great choice I have grown it and have heaps of crosses with it,,absolute stunner of a strain.

 

If you are after the cheapest best fem on the net(only in my opinion) SB has The Church $23 for 5 fems, my fav strain.

im a bit unsure about em

for me i liek to find some variation

with fem seeds i dont there is much variation

well no where near the variation of natural seeds

i too am drawn by them especially now u can just 1 or 2 along with 5 packs

i dont think the feminised seed wwould make a good breeding stock either

its stilla toss up for me

really interested in hearing others views

I run with fem seeds,as i only have room for 2 plants.

No space for breeding etc, but hopefully one day!

Well didn't take long for Planet Skunk to get back to me, payed for the seeds yesterday and got a reply email with in a few hours saying my shipment has been sent

 

Now the dreaded waiting period begins

hi dallas, u can make ur own fem seeds u need 2 femails,mix up a asprin tablet in bit water then i brush that mix on sum bottom branches on the ends wen they ball up rub on other femail were u want seeds. i want get into it but basicly because 2 femails ar used and no males, the seeds turn out all fem, theres sumthing in the asprin tablet that turns fem to male,, and if u want the hole fem tree to turn male just mix asprin in water can an water it,, theres a little more to it but thats prity well it. hope it helps, it works ive dun it

I think i might leave the making of Female seeds up to the professional breeders for the time being
