Flowering In Spring

Recommended Posts

Hi Everybody.

Having just joined this group let me first say Hello and what a fantastic site and now i will explain my situation.

Originally from the cold and wet part of Europe, i moved to the north coast of N.S.W. just over a year ago, one of the pushing factors was the opportunity to grow in the Aussie sun which is though of widely in Europe as one of if not the best place on planet earth to grow really good quality cannabis outdoors.

Been from Europe where seed sale is legal as a lot of u may already know but we always got to grow indoors for any real quality.

So what my "friend" done was give me some seeds from DNA Genitics - great white shark, chocolope and cannalope haze all which are 8 to 10 weeks flowering.

So as your winter down here in Oz is warmer than the summer where i came from and that up ontill last june i had nowhere to grow, on the 1st of june last i planted a few seeds - got a grow florescent light and set to work.

For the first two weeks i kept them warm and under constant light, then mid june i started putting them in the daytime sun and back under the lights again at night and i kept this up till the first of August.

Then i constructed a enclosed area from bamboo - allows light and wind to pass through and have the plants getting sun from sunrise till about 2 hours before sunset. I put plastic sheeting on the ground inside the bamboo and but foam mats all over for the plants to be raised up on. Got a plastic cover to shop the rain getting to them. Plants are been feed on Organic Nutrients from Canna, Growth technology, Bio-nova and natures own.

Plants are put in 12L pots and were from 12 to 16 inches tall - as of mid august the bigger plants started to show sex and were female.

And here we are now mid september and the plants are 3 - 4.5 foot tall some, indicas with fat buds and the hazes with little buds, they have only been in flower 4 weeks but look much bigger than most i have seen indoors of the same growth period.

has anybody else every done this here, any advise for the European sole here would be great - and i not a pom lol

Thanks for reading

with the day sgetting longer atm

u would have to maintain a strict 12 hours of darkness

to prevent the plants from reveging imo.

force flowerin is the only way

can u bring them in and keep them light free for 12 hours?

if so that wat id be doing

all the best

bil

Nice one bill, i was thinking that because they were gone so far into flower they might finish out, but to be safe i got double thick black builder tarp and cover the plants at 6pm and remove it at 6am they get direct sun from 6am till about 3.30pm. looking really good so far.

Here is a couple of pics.

All comments welcome.

Thanks Bil

I will keep posting pics, that plant is kalimero from Good house seeds in spain, will also post pics of a Great White Shark and Chocolope from DNA Genetics holland.

Also have a monster haze thats going to take at least 12 weeks,

Here are a few more recent ones about 7 days ago.

the pics are big but i think best to view.

I have tomatoes and strawberries and loads of veggies growing around them in pots, i noticed i got a few large spiders building webs around. they catching little flies and all sorts of things i have never seen before. lol

I dont think the spiders should cause a problem... should they?????

i check the plants everyday - Watered every two days with pure water once a week, dont water when its raining, only water in the morning, latest time around 9am.

Every now and then i leave them for three days without water just to make sure they dry and then i always notice a burst when i do water.

Have new babies started for the autumn, Kalimero, Great white shark, Chocolope, Lemon skunk and a some local seeds. All

happy so far. :yahoo: :yahoo:

They are looking like some really nice buds there sultan. Loving the high quality pics as well!

Watch out for those spiders though, shouldn't cause problems for the plant but might bite your face off.

lol Elzaros i have already had a few incounters with a few funnel weds, 1 really big one as far as i concerned and a couple of baby ones, my little dog found the big one and stunned it, was able to catch it in a jar and brought it to the wildlife center and got it checked, had to be sure which spiders are which.

Always with the quality pics my man. I still expecting it to fast raining and frost and all the bad things i had in Europe, Last time i tried the chocolope out doors it never grew just sat their in a pot for 4 months. And nearly all of them now would have bits of mold and no where near as dense.

In Holland they say Australia has the best climate in the world to grow all the different varieties and i seen pics of plants down here over 18 foot tall.

:bongon: :bongon: wiet

Thanks Wietlover

Cool to hear u been to the Dam and the Greyarea, i been to the last couple of cups and got to know the DNA boys, They gave me Some genuine Chocolope and cannalope haze clones along with some Regular Lemon Skunk seeds from the guy who made them (I hate female seeds and think its a crime against nature) and i grew them out, took more clones and made seed with them. I crossed Kalimero and Great white shark with chocolope and cannalope haze. Kept the Lemon skunk as lemon skunk, So While it may be a cross it looks and smells like chocolope and i got another one that looks like chocolope but smells of great white shark.

more pics soon
