Diy Aeroponics System

Recommended Posts

Looks good. But how practical it'd be for Cannabis is another thing. :scratchin:

Firstly, I have my doubts about it falling into the "Aeroponics" category. If anything, I tend to think it's a glorified NFT system, in my opinion.

Secondly, I doubt it'd be suitable for growing Cannabis in it. Because the root mass of Cannabis plants would tend to block the troughs in no time 'n restrict the flow and/or defeat the effect they are trying to create with the supposive "Aeroponics" setup.

With that said, I do think it'd be more suitable with other plants such as lettuce, herbs, etc.. Time will tell to how successful they've been growing Canna in it.

We usually don't encourage linking to other sites and it's even less helpful when the link is broken dmx. And wtf is earoponics lol

But the topic is interesting.

Lothar from overgrow used to do aero in long ass pvc pipes with some mad results but he did sog flipping clones that were real small because as indy said the roots block the system real quick.

Aero systems are fairly easy and heaps fun to build with great results but water temp is so crucial it makes it a little difficult in Oz unless your prepared to pay for a water chiller or have a/c room. The other big factor is any power outages and you run into trouble real quick. I have seen battery back up airpumps not sure if they have them available in water pumps but that would certainly help.

I've got pics floating around of a few aero grows i've done that i can link peeps to if anyone's interested further.

peace

low pressure areoponics can perform extremely well but you'll need to sog your plant numbers will be way to big for Australia. NSW 5 plants are deemed personal in the eyes of the law the next level up is 50 and can be argued personal with a good lawyer. slap on the wrist or serious time risk minimization is one of the most important points when deciding to grow

if your interested though don't bother with low pressure search for some DIY high pressure, real aeroponics it'll take a bit of tinkering and thinking but is the fastest way to grow but because as mentioned above you'll have to deal with massive root mass you'll need reduce size and increase numbers. shit if you've got the balls go for it but there is easier ways to out produce without risking then next 10 - 15 years of your life.

hey roseta,

whats the basic difference between low and high pressure aero? are they that different?

I for one am concerned about plant numbers due to the law.

They dont care that your 50 plants are tiny cause your growing a sog, they just see 50 plants.

But on the flip side, you can grow 5 monsters, scrog them out and yeild plenty I guess.

My next grow will be focused on keeping numbers down and yeild up.

hey chato, i think its pretty harsh not to allow linking to external sites, theres a lot of good information around that can help the growing community, let us share it.

I would understand if its promotional or advertising a certain product.

low pressure is setup useing a low pressure submersible pump or similar and pumping nutes through sprinkler heads witch pools and recollects and pump through again some people call it NFT on steroids or similar

high pressure is useing a high pressure pump upto 100psi and spraying through micro emitters producing a mist with water droplets between 20 and 50 microns uselly pumped in 3 second bursts or similar
