hey guys new to the forums, first time hobby grow - just want to find out if anyone could tell what type of bud i have here -

also wondering why the plant on the right has a different looking crown? could one a male or herm? both the plants have one or two buds around the middle with 2 or 3 seeds - no seeds anywhere else though? whats the go there

the plants are 4 months old i think they are nearly ready to harvest, what do you guys think? ive got a 40X mini microscope to look at the trichomes they look fairly hazy - left plant has alot more trichomes than the right and stinkkks (good stink ;p) alot more even though the other plant is bigger - maybe the right plant just less developed..?

thanks for any help guys

btw these were grown under plain old fluros hence they arnt monsters - to be honest this whole grow has been an awesome and fun experience - i had no intent what so ever of making any money from this just good to see exactly where the stuff i smoke all day comes from ;p

Hey ganja.

Yeah would have to agree they LOOK sativaish. By the look's of it I would have at a guess that that bottom plant has about 3 weeks left. The other, well I'd guess its got at least another 4 to 5 in it. Like resin said, when about 80% of the pistols (hairs) turn brown they're ready to go.

Looking sweet as ganja. thumbup.gif

hey mate, love that shot through the microscope :D looks great. If you have a scope you should be able to keep checking the trichome color... They will start to go milky in a few weeks and then amber not long after that... Try and get it when there is nearly all milky and a few amber starting to come through... The pistil color wont give you a definitive finish time, but does let me know that you are no-where near done... From what i have seen once the plants either get pollentated or the calyxes are fully swollen that they go orange... You really want to wait until then. Even done under fluoros they will still fatten a bit more yet.

I would hazard a guess at anywhere from 2-3 weeks at least left yet, give them a bit less daytime to help along the way (11 hours light 13 dark) should help guarantee she is finishing
