Police Officer Dies After Shot In Head..

Recommended Posts

No person of 28 should have to die. if cannabis were legal this situation woudnt have happened yet i fear it will be used as evidence to condemn cannabis.

Was it a cannabis raid though? I can't see any mention of it in the story. Anyone heard any more???

Such a senseless waste in the pathetic political, corporate war on drugs. My condolences go out to the family of the police officer and his friends.

To the Governments and all those against drug law reform for a better society. Know this! This poor persons blood is on your hands.

Well put Oz

You'd think it would be for harder drugs than cannabis. Why send six detectives to arrest some low level mully dealer. it was the Middle Eastern Crime Force that was involved in the raid. Fucking rag-heads!!! I know not all Lebbos are crims but the ones that are have no respect for law, society or our way of life!!!

As for you, Cyber, your comments were juvenile. Sure we all want to toke in peace and see law enforcement as an impediment to our way of life but that cop was doing his duty. We all need cops to maintain an orderly society...like it or not!!! I've been busted 4 times and each time I saw it as part of the game we play.

P.S. It looks like the cop's mate accidentally shot his partner!!!

One thing that doesn't sit too well with me is this..

There will be story of bravery to come out of this, said Assistant Commissioner Frank Menelli.

You don't hear of "stories of bravery" when a everyday worker dies on the job site, or going to/from work. Or have State or Federally funded funerals. If this was to happen to a civilian. It would be left up to family, friends, co-workers or Union to pick up the pieces. My liberal opinion has never sat comfortably with this one system for one lot, and another system for the rest. I guess I'm gunna have to suck it 'n deal with it. Because I can never see this deal ever changing.

Nonetheless, my condolences to the officers family, coleagues 'n friends. It's never good when anyone goes to work 'n never again gets to return home after a shift. RIP William Crews.

When they announced that neither suspect was going to be charged with murder I think a lot of people were wondering who fired the bullet.

Police caused this, absurdly enforcing an absurd law that empowers criminals. I bet they are wishing the 'towel heads' fired first, how easy it would be then to 'justify' the event.

.... there will be the usual scape goats and repercussions, tough new laws will no doubt be knee jerked into place by tunnel visioned politicians with the usual boring oppressive ideas trumpeted, helped along by a shameless media serving up an emotional feast of shit as the weekly 'news'.

:sick

The family of the murdered policeman deserve an apology from every politician and public official that believes this war on drugs, this war against civillians ffs is helping the Australian nation.

In my view it is the single main factor in the breakdown in respect for the law.

It is obvious that the war on drugs itself is empowering organised criminal thug pieces of shit.

I couldn't agree more Daz. This officer is another victim of the war on drugs nothing else. It's a shame it's taking so long for those in positions of power to realize it. Eventually no one can hide from the truth though.

I agree with what you were saying about the WOD there mongy, but I can't agree with this. Politicians make a living out of distorting the truth, or only offering their version of the truth. And they have been doing that since politicians have been around.

If we're talking about illicit drugs, society has been institutionalised to believe a version of the truth. Education, health, law enforcement, judicial, religious and media institutions, just to name a few, all continue to promote, teach and encourage the same basic argument when it comes to prohibition and indeed "illicit" drug use in general. And they wield the power. And, combined with our politicians, the control.

No, I think they can hide from the truth as long as they can continue to influence society in the way they currently do. Because, in a way, they control what the "truth" is, on a societal level.

The only way to beat this system is to educate properly. But how many people do that?

Like your comments Darryl... You must be one of the few people as cynical and disullisioned in society as myself!

As for the police shooting the other cop, yeah they would be spewing, they wanted to focus their righteous wrath on the "bad guys".

They will cover it up, you see police can never be in the wrong. Just like if they shot somebody, the truth would be modified.

I've seen the police cheat and lie and cover themselves up before, as well as break the law and assault people in various ways with NO resistance (not that I agree that the police should be able to be as aggressive as they often are when encountered mild resistance).

I don't trust the police at all. Never will- not until they start enforcing just laws and improve their game.

Police = mindless drones, security agents of the government.

All I can say is it upsets me a lot less when a police officer is killed than a civilian. But why is it that the media treats it as much more important when one of the governments security agents is killed? I mean they know the risk, they are armed and trained. Its much more a tragedy when a civilian is killed.

I also believe the penalty for killing a police officer should be the same for killing a civilian.
