How are these seedlings looking?

Hey all, this is my first go at raising from seed. They're just over a week old, in a seed raising mix of coco, vermiculite, worm castings, and coarse sand. They get a light watering every day, and have been fed twice with 1/3 strength fish emulsion N:2.5.

The colour on these shots is all over the place, but the important bits have been corrected so that the image colour matches the leaves under indoor daylight. They're looking a shade too yellow, what do you all think? They're also a bit stretchy and are obviously leaning to one side, this is because they're crowded under a little CFL at the moment. I'm more concerned about the leaf health.

They're maybe a teeny bit pale, but that's strain dependant. Don't worry about stretch at this stage too much as you can bury the stems when you pot up.

Like you said, the color is a little hard to read here. But - are you feeding them a little early there? The cotleydons look pretty green in that pic, and you don't have to feed until they yellow, indicating that the plant has used its reserves up. That might account for the tiny bit of burn there.

What are your temps like in that space?

The cotyledons are indeed intact still. No feeding until they yellow eh... I started feeding a couple days after the true leaves appeared, going off what I could find on the net. I'm a bit lost around plants this small.

Temps, at a guess, 15-18 at night, 20-22 during the day. Definitely on the mild side.

Cheers for the replies guys, sounds like they're okay, if they get noticeably paler I'll put it down to the early feeding and correct accordingly.

They look pretty good. Maybe a bit over nuted. I don't start using nutes, until, like stated before the the cotleydons have turned tellow. Takes about two weeks.

I would not use vermiculite as it retains too much water. IMO perlite is best in a soil mix.

There should be mid wifes to help when starting from seed. Too much tlc can be a bad thing in infancy. lol
