Abbott wins = harder federal line against drugs

Recommended Posts

People I hope you don't vote the religious nutcase Tony Abbott in , as opposed to the atheist Julia Gillard.

Gillard may not be prolegalization, but if Abbott gets in there is absolutely no chance of any progress being made in the legalize marijuana front. Don't expect any progress with medical marijuana in this country either.

If your on disability for pain and take marijuana medically - watch out- you are the sort of person Abbott wants to get.

There is no progress anyway, its been worse the last few years. Hardly anyone even deals these days except to friends. Best off just growing your own and telling no one, then fuck what the politicians and cops reckon.

This is true. I believe with the "Genetics" and advances in "lighting" have lead to a massive increase in Hydro.

You can quite easily grow 3 or 4 ounces every 7 months from just 2 plants or less at a time. I'm in the Hydro shop lot's of late, and there is always some other customer in the shop. I think the Government would shit themselves if they really knew how many Mum's & Dad's Hydro's like mine are in Australia.

Polly's like Abbott could care less about Stoner's. If more and more people grow there own, then there will be less busts overall, and the figures for the next election are looking better and better.

Here is how it goes......."During our last term in office the drug related crime rate has decreased"

The fact they did nothing to make it that way has nothing to do with it. When the faceless men of politics are at play they look at the statistics. If they see the trend for Mary Jane cases in the courts reducing then, what they will do is ACTUALLY TAKE AWAY some of the Police resources for Pot related offences so they can use that money elsewhere in the system.

So the Home Growers like myself and others are a large factor in contributing the Government leaving us alone.

GROW ON..... TELL NO ONE, IF YOU HAVE A SURPLUS GIVE IT AWAY, OR TRADE FOR NUTES OR LIGHTS ETC.

If everyone did this who gives a flying fuck if it's Illegal.

It doesn't matter who you vote for these days, the chances of getting real reform are next to nothing :bongon:

Tony Abbott is hardcore into his religious ideals which makes him a total douche bag with most things, not just drugs.

Juilia Gillard is a lot better than Tony Abbot, but the Labour party still supports the criminalisation of drug users.

The Greens really showed promise for a few years there, but they have even turned their back's on us. The first thing they have to say in their drug policy is:

The Australian Greens do not support the legalisation of currently illegal drugs.

They then go on to say all of this...

the regulation of personal use of currently illegal drugs is best addressed primarily within a health and social framework, with legal support.

imprisonment for personal use of illicit drugs, when not associated with other crimes, is not an appropriate solution to drug dependence.

introduce the regulated use of cannabis for specified medical purposes, such as intractable pain.

introduce a system of sanctions for personal use of illicit drugs, when not associated with other crimes, that include measures such as education, counselling and treatment commensurate with specific cases and circumstances.

make drug substitution treatments available under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, and compensate pharmacists for costs of dispensing treatment.

They want to keep all currently illegal drugs illegal, they believe smoking pot isn't enough to land you in prison but if you grow your own that would be a criminal offence, If you get caught with drugs they will legally force you into rehab and if you refuse to quit taking drugs they'll get a pharmacist to fuck you up. There is still a little bit of light left in the tunnel as they support the medicinal use of cannabis, but they have become just as bad as the other major parties :o

My whole family has gone off their heads at me today for refusing to vote. They seem to think because people have died for my right to vote that I'm basically spitting on their graves by refusing to do so. I see it somewhat differently in the sense that I see 3 groups of people that would all happily put me in prison to try and gain political power and as such they are all undeserving of a vote that came from such a high cost. My family thinks I have smoked myself retarded, but the sad fact of the matter is I can't morally bring myself to vote :o

Well i hope we all voted below the line and put or preference for the Australian Sax party, they did have some crap policy's but were the only one for pro decriminalization. if we dont have ppl up there that will fight for us then y bother complaining and saying that its a lost cause? its only a lost cause if u donkey vote or elect ppl who dont want drugs in the community.

If you dont inform yourself and find out who is supporting us stoners then you and the other ppl that didnt vote are doing as much damage as those who vote for Abbot.

:bongon: didn't have to wait for the monk... they already got me an took away my meds :o

But yeah, 9pm and we look like having a hung parliament...

Possibly 4 independents and a green in the lower house, our 3 existing conservative indies, plus andrew wilkie looking to pick up a seat in Tassie (green leaning ind) and Adam Bandt picking up the seat of Melbourne for the Greens. Certainly has made for an interesting count tonight.

Interesting times indeed.

edit - 9.40pm and Antony Green confirms that The Greens have control of the balance of power in the Senate!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111one one one
