Police bust octogenarian over cannabis stash

Police have issued an 80-year-old woman with a drug infringement notice after officers allegedly found cannabis at her Alice Springs home.

 

Police say they found more than 50 grams of cannabis during a search of the woman's home on Saturday.

 

A 25-year-old man will be summonsed to appear in court after he allegedly told police that 38 grams of the drug stash belonged to him.

 

The octogenarian will also be summonsed to appear for allegedly possessing the remaining 12 grams of cannabis.
