Anyone used Brunnings Seed Raising Mix?

Recommended Posts

I picked up a block of this the other day. Planning on using it for my seeds after they germinate in a cheap green house I also got from Bunnings.

Most people I see just seem to go straight to Coco/Perlite. So I'm wondering if it's a wise idea to try this stuff?

Also, with my greenhouse. Do I want to keep it sealed so the humidity rises or should I just keep the lid off for now?

NEVER use Brunnings seed raising mix, it is the worst outta the lot, full of wood-chip, I'd say at least 80% chip (not good).

I highly recommend Debco seed raising mix, though Yates and searles do a nice mix as well, all available at Bunnings.

There is no prob's in using Brunning's coca blocks just make sure they are the unfertilized ones, and make sure you rinse both coca blocks and perlite very well before using/potting up.

Also keep the lid on the humidifier Dome until they sprout, then take it off.
