THC to CBD ratio

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this is in the right place but here goes, Ive got a couple of questions concerning THC to CBD ratio. I understand CBD is an antiphsycotic and has many other ways of interacting with THC. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabidiol

Different strains of weed i come across the high can slightly vary, for example body stoned or head high etc, wich leads to my first question, Does the THC to CBD ratio affect the high, and how so? Would weed with a higher CBD content be healthier, is there anyway at looking at the bud and being able to get a rough idea on the THC CBD ratio and how would you grow/cultivate plants to produce the desired ratio?

thc is antiphsycotic too

cbd.,,.,.,.,

there is so much we dont know yet

there are over 400 different cannabinoids

their combination and ratio of balance is what make up all the different stones and ofcourse the medicinal properties of each strain

there is so many different cannabinoids and they each do so many different tings and interact with eachother all at the same time

this is very complex

we have a long way to go yet before science fully overstands the endocannabinoid system and how cannabis effects it

how would you grow/cultivate plants to produce the desired ratio?
Under acidic conditions CBD cyclizes to THC.

seen

CBD is a precurser to THC

so harvest early for a high CBD content

the crystal are clear at frist then as they mature they turn milky, then amber

seen

amber is high THC

and

milky is high CBD

what makes all the cannabinoids degrade and change

is ----> air, heat and light

so the cure of your harvest will also effect the ballance of the cannabidoids

eg CBD to THC

so the ideal way of curing to capture high CBD content,

would be ---->in the dark, in an enclosed environment, at low temps

is there anyway at looking at the bud and being able to get a rough idea on the THC CBD ratio
early immature budz would be a good start
Does the THC to CBD ratio affect the high, and how so?

industrial hemp has the highest CBD content

and lowest THC content

Would weed with a higher CBD content be healthier
good question

and each one of us may have a different answer due to personal prefferance

the best way to find the answer to that 1 is to try it for your self

Is THC realy an antiphsycotic?
yes

Ive always been under the impression that THC administered to people with psychosis would make there condition worse?
no one really knows the answer to that

synthetic pure THC is sold as marranol and is said to be not phsycoactive by its self yet still used medicinaly

remember there is over 400 cannabinoids most of them we dont have a clue what they do or how they achieve.

there could be some combinations that may be strong antiphsycotic

this is cutting edge science

only trial and error methods of traditional medicine has any documentation

check Aividec medicine of india or chinese herbal medicine for more info

GW Pharmaceutical has a patent for a cannabis based med that has an equal ratio of THC/CBD. Since then I've been reading about there being a 'safe' ratio of THC to CBD. It sounds like more bullshit to me. They have just changed from, all cannabis is bad, to oh it turns out theirs is the only safe form of canna medication. Maby I'm over cynical but I doubt it.

i hear you bro MongyMan

after all the lies and miss-information released by the ruling authorities since 1936

dont expect we to believe another utterance

imo

the best way to go is try it your self

till you get the results you seek

imho

cannabis therapy is strictly a personal affair

from the best cannabinoid balance to the best dose rates

that relives your particular affliction in such times of sufferance

strictly personal
