Plant flowering but not showing sex

Ok quick question to those who are in the know:

 

I have noticed during my grow that 2 of my plants have started to flower however, they have not showin pistles nor balls.

Bit confused as the other 2 plants are both fems and are budding as well.

 

Has anyone experianced this before?

 

If you need to see pics there are some in my grow diary altho I have not taken exclusive pics of this issue yet.

So how do you know they have started to flower if they haven't shown any signs of sex yet?

 

I had a plant on my current grow that didn't show any signs of flowering (except stretching), even after 6wks.

 

I have no idea why it didn't sexually mature as all the other plants started flowering?

 

I put it down to a genetic thing but I'm really only guessing.

 

If it is way behind the other girls then I would trash it, it will never catch up.

Well its forming buds like the others but its not showing any pistels??? While my other one in the black pot is a mutant and it has some really strange leaves as well as what looks like pistels 3/4 way up the leaf tips. Looks like it was made on a friday afternoon in a chinese sweatshop.

All good guys both plants have got buds with pistels however they never showed pre flowers. I will post some pics of the mutations in my grow diary sometime. Thanks for the advice
