Hey guys i'm a first time grower have good little indoor setup my plant is growing beautifully. I'm currently going into my 5th week of flowering and have been given conflicting advice regarding flower periods. Using a 600 on a 18/6 cycle and was wondering at what week should i turn to 12/12. :please:

Hey mate and welcome to OS. Im new to this too and Im pretty sure if youre in your 5th week of flower you shouldve flipped to 12/12 5 weeks ago.............

Your plant starts flowering the day you swap the light cycle to 12/12. You start counting the weeks from then.

Depending on your height restrictions, you should ideally start flowering when the plant has reached sexual maturity and is displaying preflowers and has started to grow alternating nodes. Usually this is about 5-8 weeks from seed but can vary.

Show us a couple of pics so we can get a better grasp of the situation.

Assuming you've started off a few seed raised plants, and the aim of the grow is to just grow out females for bud, I suggest you take labeled cuttings off each of the in-veg plants you have. As they show sex in 12/12 you can ditch the respective male cuttings. Then out of the best of the females, you grow the respective female cuttings into new mothers, and you can clone grow infinitum. Don't just choose the best female on size of the bud. You'll want to hone it down to best taste and potency too! Edited by OrbitTime
