Hi there Doc,

There is a shit load of info here on site, try Cannaversity for grow info. Now as stated on site a number of times you need to do a bit of trial and error for what works for your setup, no 2 setups are the same and what works for you may not work for others.

Spread your purchases around a bit don't buy it all from the same place, it looks really obvious walking out with the lot. Think outside the square. Pumps are available from aquarium stores, clay balls from gardening stores etc

As for pH and EC, your nutes should state. Me personally, 6 to 6.5pH and 1400-1500 ppm, my nutes recommend higher but I've found the tips of my leaves get burnt above 1600 so I've dropped it, to suit my setup. And it works for me.

I do try to use as little additives as possible. I find the more natural the process the more natural the final product

As others have stated your yields will depend on lots of variables. Room size, plant size, air flow, room temps etc, etc.... so even having a guess is a waste of time. Also don't expect a 'killer' crop first up, you'll only be disappointed. If your first is a killer then thats a bonus, but certainly not the norm from all reports and experience.

Just some advice

well I can give you a few tips from my personal experience...

First only grow one strain to start with - juggling the needs of two or more strains that may need different feed levels etc is harder than just concentrating on one strain and getting it right.

Second, you will need just the basics for feeding - Grow A+B, Flower A+B, Superthrive is an excellent additive that is cheap and very effective, Rhizotonic is excellent and helps strong root development during the vege stage, PK 13/14 is an excellent flower additive used 3-4wks prior to harvest.

Third remember to flush your medium regularly and use medium specific nutes - if you are using coco use coco specific nutes.

Have fun and ask away if anything else springs to mind.

Jimbo ;)
