WARNING! Family First

Hi All,

All this crap in my letter box, we must be having an election. But I've just recieved some from Family First party.

 

BE AWARE, BE VERY AWARE.

 

This party is Assembly Of God church. Now I've stated before " god and politics don't mix " But this lot are slimey. No where on their brochure is their affiliation with the church stated. None of their political banners state it and not many people actually know who they are. They are putting up candidates in each state. This is not good for anyone.

 

Religion has its place and that's in a church, not in politics.

 

In SA they have two members in parliament, it has been their push to stiffen up the drug laws, in SA you can no longer purchase hydro equipment including lights due to the change in the law. The law was changed due to FF supporting the SA Labor govt with votes so the labor govt had to support a 'watered down' FF policy. FF policy is NO DRUGS.

'Family First' of course everybody wants to put their Family First, but to me its a nice fluffy phrase for BIBLE BASHERS.

Let people know this fact:

"a vote fo Family First is a vote for Religion"

Ahh I see you've been enlightened to some basic facts about the Family First Party, merl1n.

It's no secret around these neck of the woods (OSA). But I still do get a chuckle each 'n everytime someone learns the truth about this mob

 

Best thing to do, that I found. Is to make sure they get the VERY last preference on every ballot form I fill out.

 

Which reminds me to have another serve at lazy arse stoners that aren't prepared to get themselves enrolled to vote. If youse don't, it's quite possible fruitcakes like this (Family First Party) will eventually get enough say in how this country is run, one day.

 

P.S. A little late for this election, but don't let that stop you.

I fully support Cracking down on REAL drugs. ICE for example.

Pot can and should be categorised the same as alcohol.

Polly's that group all drugs together or even worse target pot.......don't have

a grip on the real world.

 

As for Gloria & Starbucks. The American corporates can go fuck themselves.

There are plenty of Mums N Dad's Coffee shops around. Use them.

 

Those greedy corporate Seppo bastards are directly responsible for the GFC.

 

The Big Picture is hard to look at for most people.

 

Got no pot ATM but i do have a very very nice 10 year old Margaret River Shiraz.

Decent religious people like Jews hindus and Buddhists generally don't force others to live a "higher" life

 

These christian elements in family first should start studying there religion better and realising that just because something is supposedly "wrong" doesn't make it somehow right for them to criminalize and punish others on matters far outside the 10 commandments or 7 Noahide laws....

 

I find no passage in Christian bible suggesting we should attempt to force an enebriated person to change or make suggestions we should punish them or ruin their lives

There are Christians who oppose the war on drugs, quite a few I think you'll find so even if these political mobs who think they can bring about the Kingdom of God on Earth have no idea about these issues (or in fact the thing they claim to represent), please don't fall into the trap of throwing the baby Jesus out with the bathwater. AFAIK ALL political parties use the 'war' on drugs to score cheap political points and maybe if we had MORE pollies in power who had religious convictions of some kind we'd have more honest government.

 

Just a thought...

 

While I won't be voting '1' for these guys they WILL be placed higher than Labour/Liberal on my ballot paper.

thanks for this post mate.....done a bit of reading up about this and they also believe in banning abortions... enforcing mandatory filtering of ISPs... they oppse same sex marriage. (the one thing i do like about them, ) but they go as far as to say tohey oppose IVF treatment for lesbians...and as for their stance on drugs well.. playing hardball

Nah the church can't fund a party directly... the party is made from and funded by local parishioners.
