How close should your lights be for flowing?

Recently upgraded to lumitek ballast and now my buds have revert looking buds directly under light but ones on outside are ok?

Also should i pull off shade leafs?

Why are the stems on leafs going red/purple?

i put my hand under the the light pam down and if its just warm i leave at that

One other thing - just be aware (if you're not already) that your new ballast may dramatically reduce the life of conventional HPS or MH 60hz bulbs. Some people have no problems - but if you find your bulb blows, its the different cycling rate of a digi ballast. Have you tried googling your brand of bulb to see how it goes with this ballast?

Mate theres no way you should be pulling off any shade leaves, unless they are yellow and dying, those leaves are there to speed up photosynthesis, and produce the sugars and carbohydrates the plant needs for fast efficient growth,

HPS 400w = 40cm from tops of plants, 600w = 60cm and so on!

Thanks for replys fellas. Using lucagrow bulbs and dont seem to have a problem with them.

Deffinately had the light to close for flower mode.... it has deformed buds directly under globe.
