Newbie Help With CFL

Recommended Posts

Gidday people.

Newbie starting out here. Going to attempt a 2 plant grow soon for personal medicinal use - I have glaucoma and my missus has a brain tumour - so any help that can be given to me would be of great help.

I only have a small space roughly HxWxD 100cmX60cmX50cm which I will build a box for.

My main concern is the lighting, I want to use CFL's but I know from googling and trawling that the Y splitters that the Yanks use aren't legal here, so can anyone point out an easy method of getting say 4 CFL's onto some kind of lighting strip, do they sell something like that at bunnings? I'm not electrical so I couldn't wire one up.

another concern is a fan that would be used in such a small sapce. any tips would be most welcome.

Cheers

go to a hydro shop and buy 2 super cfl light bulbs and holders, they are 130 watts each. globe is around $60 each and the holders already wired up for powerpoints are $20 each. you can also get veg and flower globes.so get 2 for veg, when its time to flower go get the flowering globes and use them. its you best choice without going hps and mh

Perhaps try electrical wholesalers like Rexel or Lawrence & hansen. They service the electricians...just open a cash account with them and get trade price! It works here in S.A. Whatever the hydro shops get they can get. they deal with Philips lighting, Osram, Sylvania etc.
