Yellow leaves on seedlings

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I have 5 seedlings down in rockwool and 2 are showing yellow leaves. They are about 10 days old. On one of them 2 of the 4 leaves are entirely yellow and on the other just the tip is yellow. I have been spraying them with rhyzosomethingarather from canna at half strength 0.5ml /250ml. My temperatures range from 22 to 32. They are still in a propagation trays with the lid on them as well to keep up the humidity (Around 85%). When is a good time to get them out of their humid home and into the space? Humidity in the space is around 50 - 70%

Your little girls are dying from either a lack of food or an incorrect ph in the rockwool.

The rockwool should be damp but not soaked and they should be getting a very weak solution of grow a & b (or seed and clone food) EC about 0.6 I start at.

The rhizotonic is useful but is more of a root developer than a nutrient and they prolly won't need that until they develop a little - like third set of true leaves

Did you pre-soak your rw in ph adjusted water before planting? If not then that could be the problem, with feeding them ph adjusted food you may be able to save them.

If they have developed a set of true leaves then you should harden them off gradually and repot them out of the humidity dome

Ok here is the latest, only have 3 of the 5 still kicking =( 1 of them was like a retarded seed or something, she just couldn't figure which way was up I think and seemed to sprout only stem and the leaves were there but underground. Almost like I planted the seed upside down.

So a little bit more information. I sprouted the seeds in rockwool cubes laced with root stimulator and had them in a nice warm humid environment. After about a week I transferred 3 of them to their first pots filled with Debaco premium potting mix and into 18/6 of beautiful LED. After a few more days I put the other 2 in pots to. The last 2 were late about 5 days behind the other seeds to show themselves, I actually thought that they would not sprout at all.

After advice given I was reluctant to feed them but gave them all a very small feed of bio vega. They didn't really react either way to this.

Out of the remaining 3, 2 are looking nice and getting on with their lives and the other is a little strange, still yellow tips on leaves moving back towards the stem. I gave that 1 another feed of bio vega tonight so hopefully that is what she might need. I also have some cannazyme. When is a good time to start giving them all some of that?

Cheers for advice jimbo and paladin, much respect
