Outdoor Growing Seasons

Heya all,

 

I just wanted to know, hopefully someone would be able to help me and answer some of my questions as to when exactly the outdoor marijuana season starts and finishs.

 

For example like when would you plant your seeds and when would they be about ready for harvest?

 

Which months would these be?

 

Can you grow in winter? (i herd you could but was unsure)

 

BTW i live in Adelaide, South Australia, if that makes any difference.

Usually i plant in September and look to the chop around April but the plants will tell ya when they are ready!!! I live in Q.L.D so it is alot warmer up here and lots of sunshine!!!Being in S.A where its alot colder i would think you would need to watch out for frost!!Also the winter equinox was on june 22nd (i think!) so the days can only get longer!!!! Late September early October sew the seeds. Harvest late April or May or even June with some strains. The harvest time is basically up to you.

You can veg plants indoors then put them out doors in the winter. Frosts slow them down a bit unlees you can cover them with plastic or something that keeps the frosts off them but lets the sunlight in, yield won't be that great.

So us el naturale growers have got about 2 months to get our stuff together and plan our grow.

Longer than 2 months for much of the country... no sense in starting seed outdoors until the night's have warmed appreciably. Seedlings just sit there waiting for the ambient temp to pick up anyway and while they wait, many evils can strike them down.

 

Might as well keep them in the packet until you reach the end of the local frost risk period.

 

Still plenty of time to sort out the security...
