We have a new Pm by the looks of it.

Recommended Posts

Just heard on the radio that Kevie walked in and handed in the PM job over to Gillard.

So lets see what sort of bull shit she will get this country into and what lies she tell the ppl...

I think she is a lot better than Rudd.

At least she has TRIED marijuana though she said she regrets it and didn't like it.. Probably either she didn't have enough and it had no effect, or she had too much and it was unpleasant for a new user, or she is entirely lying- maybe she had it more than once and liked it.

She doesn't seem enough to bring around a legalization debate, but at least she is unlikely to toughen the federal position further.

Yeah, gillard actually came out and admitted to smoking cannabis before, without even being asked. It was when malcolm turnbull was being harassed about his prior use, she thought she'd get in on the action I suppose.

Anyway, she's gotta be better than rudd, although this change is going to really screw the greens up.

She is talking about opening the doors A LOT..........talk is cheap

I have already sent my email via get up saying she should open the doors for drug reform in this country.

Its definitely a good play though, i think she has the tenacity to go head to head with the raving monk.

I will still vote greens, i hope this does not back fire and we end up with the mad monk in charge?

I reckon with him at the helm things can only get worse regarding drug reform.

Okay jabez, gotta ask... how does this 'really screw up' the Australian Greens?

Well, there was a large percentage of typically labour voters that were completely sick of rudd, but were never going to vote for Abbott. There only option was the greens, which is why the greens were expected to do quite well this election. But now gillard is leader of the labour party, you would expect a lot of the people that were thinking of voting greens to go back to labour.

Also, there'll be a lot of pseudo hippies out there, that would usually vote for the greens, but will get all caught up in the female leader factor.

People are in general usually feebleminded and very easy to manipulate.

Interesting ideas, can't say I agree with you. I think Australia's voting population is a little more politically literate than you portray an you may not have noticed but the Greens aren't the only alternative in many electorates.

I do expect that the opinion polling will vary from what we see now, but figures this far out are always pretty soft for the minor parties.

Well it's girls on top for the time being... head of state's a chick, gg's a chick and now we have a chick for pm too.

Has the issue of MM or decriminalisation even come up yet in the context of the upcoming election? It's a huge issue in America and they've made huge progress in just a few years. Aren't we always copying what America does anyway?

Bob Brown will most likely hold the balance of power if polls are anything to go by. He should use his position to his advantage and insist that Labor, who he's done a deal with, to stop treating pot smokers like criminal scum.
