Umm ya water em when there thirsty, if ya not sure what that is is when the medium is dry :peace:

shouldnt be be to hard get ya head round, just treat it like every other pant that u might have watered.....

being seedling i wouldnt be feeding them for a start and if u r would be a very small amount cause they should be in small pots.

Hey mate, depends on your medium (for water retention) and age of plants,

I myself am growing in Clay pellets (balls) and feed my young plants on a half- strength nutes for 10mins 3 times a day!

Then my older plants( generally anything bigger than 250mm) full strength Nutes for 15mins 3 times a day!

And growth is incredibly Fast! with no nutrient deficiencies whatsoever!

Good Luck!

Hi! How is it going?

I have recently expanded my set up to include a 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m grow tent, 1 x 1000w HPS light, 1 x 1000w MH & fluorescent lights for my seedlings. So, lets see how we go! :)

Today my question for all of you is, when i turn my lights on what rotation with regard to the water pump should i run?

Thank you for any replies!

Excellent question forfalconAU,

My answer would be that there is no fixed one size fits all response to the question. You need to take a few variables into account, such as the size of the plants and whether or not the roots can handle the nutrients. Depending on the size of the seedlings i would say you only need to feed them 4 times a day max.

You also need to take into account the time of year. In summer when its hot you may need to feed the plant more.

If i may add, it will get HOT running two 1k lights in a tent of that size. I feel a 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m grow tent is way to small of an area for those lights. It will get hot in there so therefore you will need to water more often.

The following is a guide off a basic handbook i received when i bought my set up from the local hydroponics shop, use it as a rule of thumb but of course you will need to take the variables into account.

* Clay Balls 15 min on & 45 min off

* Coco coir 15 min on & 4-6 hours off

* Rockwool 15 min on & 3-4 hours off

* Perlite 15 min on and 3-4 hours off

I think thats a good guide. But i mean, it tends to vary from person to person and even strain to strain.

When i looked on the Canna A+B bottle it recommends with seedlings feeding feeding twice daily for 1 min at a time. Whilst i wouldn't feed the seedlings Canna A+B i would take their advice on the watering amounts. Of course if your watering only for 1 min at a time i'd recommend not using the timer as they tend to go for 15 mins.

Good luck with the grow,

Wedge

(P.S. Please see me after class ...)
