PPG is also right about the cool tube, they run better pulling fresh air and exhausting it seperately from your grow room ventilation and carbon filter, why run hot air through your cool tube? the whole idea is to keep the globe cooler and pull the heat away from the grow area. What's generating the extra heat in the grow area apart from the globes that warrants a seperate venting system for cooltube/s ?

Ambient air temps, yer might work if ya live in a winter environment 365days a year:) In the warmer months i pull air from a cool source, which is not located in the room because if i do not the globes run hotter and room heats up as the air actually flowing though the tubes is warmer than if i was gettin it from a cold source. Now even with a centifugal fan as it pulls the air though the cooltube. cool air flowing though it is gona be cooler than warm air.

 

And runing a cooltube with 1 side exposed to dust , dirt , maybe water if ya not smart when ya spraying, all being pulled past ya globe into ya filter n fan i do not see as good practice.

 

As well, we all say 1 way for some ppl 1 way for others, thats why ppl ask us n get a wide variety of answers, and can make up there mind after reading all the revelent info.

Cyclone, clones will always be faster off the mark, it's a simple case of your vegetation is already there, all you need is roots, a seed needs a whole system to grow from it. Mongy knows his shit for sure.

its about opinions of what is the best thing to do.

Now , now cyclone. My point is just as valid as yours and so is my opinion. What I don't need is your shitty comments. Thats twice now.

I didn't say your posts were a mistake, but I do believe drawing warm air through a cooltube is, when it is so simple to set it up with it's own small computer fan and draw from outside the grow area and exhaust seperately, as you get no odor through a closed system it is the best option. And clones are Faster dude, plus you can have them veging seperately while your grow area is flowering, giving you a head start every time.

 

You know why people like me on here, because I'm polite mate and If I'm wrong i apologise or correct the fact and If I can help some Newb out with a problem i will to the best of my ability without making them feel stupid. People make mistakes, thats why they put erasers on pencils. GH72

Thanks for the input guys! always good to get many different suggestions & then try mix what sounds good together..

 

The closet i was using i have now filled with spiders, so i have made a new grow closet in the spare spare spare bedroom closet which has internal dimensions of 1600h x 1800l x 550d. I have lined this with 10mm corflute & will have a play around with the lights a little more. i ended up buying a 400w digital HPS a 600w cooltube HPS with fans & ducting & a new 400w MH globe. will see what works best in this space & post some pix when the medication is looking healthy & happy.

hey Devil, i've just upgraded from 400 to 600w hps. i'm using growlush and a standard ballast. cost me $130 all up brand new!

i'll let you know the difference it makes if you're interested
