carbon filters

Recommended Posts

You only need to re-activate in high humidity areas. If grow room humidity is around 50% you will only have to reactivate at 5 months, less than 50% you won't have to, just replace in 12 months time. But I know people who are using them 2 years on and they are fine. GH72

Ill be going a carbon filter for sure, even if it last me a year and cost me 150 its better than fronting the magistrate on a cultivation charge, i plan on 3-4 plants in the tent at any given time so i think i should be ok with a 150x500mm filter.

Even if it cost me 330 its still gona be cheaper and better than buying off dealers, i think that's more risky than growing for myself. Any way god knows what im supporting when im buying off them, for all i know its funding organized crime or terrorism and i always find the dope i buy being crap and grown for yield and very little quality. Grow your own, keep it quiet and do it properly and im sure we can all enjoy this is a very rewarding hobby.

Sorry Billo, if there's a problem with my advice you can PM me. I don't need to help these guys out, i do it because there is a lot to learn and I would like to help them, not like my advice is even wrong here. Maybe I should leave this site, if you just want to shit me.

I speak from experience, I got my Odor Sok on my mates recommendation and he's had his on a cupboard for 2 years-reactivates every 6 months, which I have visited and can vouch for, not a hint of smell even in late Bud.

Maybe if you used a clamp instead of tape to attach your Odor Sok to your fan Billo, that wouldn't be an issue to remove it. Washing and dryings not a big Issue unless you don't wash clothes.

Maybe you run your cab with too high humidity and it shits up the Sok too fast, or maybe you use too small a filter for your grow?

Maybe some of these guys are better with an odor sok before their first harvest, so they can afford a flash carbon filter later. If I had a Big grow, yes I would use a Good Carbon filter, they are better for that, but for small grows the Sok is cheaper and will do the job nicely. I also think they reduce the induction noise of the Centrifugal fans pretty well too.

We all have our own view on what dose and dose not work, and we use what works for what you have setup.

We leave feed back on what we have found out by trying it, some will agree and some will disagree but when it comes down to it we all have our point of view and just because some dosent agree with your point there is no need to get ya undies in a knot over it...
