The most optimum PH

Recommended Posts

Hello all

Can anybody recommend the most optimum Ph levels for a hydo system, For Germination, seedlings/cuttings, Vegatation, and flowering!

I understand that generally if you have a P h around 7 you can do no wrong BUT i would like to Know the optimum Ph for each stage of growth!

Many thanxs

please tell what medium you are using and what brand of nutrients, also ask the manufacturers of the nutrients you are using as to what PH they recommend as they would probably know best too

i dont know alot, but in many years growing ive never used PH of 7 (except outdoor in soil), though it may well be good :applause:

where i use perlite and Growth Technology nutrients run to waste and handwatered, i stick to PH 5.7 - 6.1

Thank you all for your input it is much appreciated!

Iam using Clay pallets for my medium and an australian brand of nutes, which has done me well in the past,

Im an inexperienced hydroponic grower- i have always grown organicly under Lights with great results! will post a pic!

I haven't used a PH meter for years, and think PH is way over rated. I use tap water and it's probably around 7.

I have seen so many people on here asking why their plants are dying or suffering and notice that a lot of the time they have been adjusting the PH .... acid is used to lower PH and its bloody easy to stuff it up.

I will put buds grown without bothering about PH levels up against buds grown within those recommended zones and their will be no difference.
