AP analysis on US Drug War

Recommended Posts

Yeah, It's quite a good article that seems to be spared the usual BS spin.

Though with that said, It's still disappointing that the Obama Gov is only spending $5.6 billion of the $15.5 billion (for 2011) on prevention and treatment, and the remainder going towards the "War on Drugs". But, with all things considered. It's better than 100% going on the WoD.

I too was surprised this was on fox news. But that said, it's been interesting to hear the likes of Glen Beck preaching an end to cannabis prohibition lately. Even though he's a complete nutbag, he's the darling of the right in the US and is a very influential media figure.

But then of course there are the likes of bill o'reilly....sigh....

That sort of figures with the whole Mexico situation. The US has made commitments there and must be a bit stressed that Mexico has legalized personal possession of both soft and hard drugs:-) Now all it takes is research to come out of Mexico demonstrating that their approach yielded benefits.
