G'day Walrus ,

Don't worry about your Topic mate , It's fine to want to promote discussion :)

Maybe you could have elaborated a little more but hey , we got the point and there is already healthy discussions going on  made perfect sense to me.

To StonedHenge ,

Interesting post , I enjoyed reading it ... but Walrus never damned alcohol ... no one says alcohol should be banned and Cannabis legalized ... It's just an appropriate part of the argument against Cannabis prohibition ofc

Also , for someone who see's this topic as pointless you sure did express yourself quite completely :( heheheh , no worries.

As for the "Alot of people are thick" and "85% of the human race are retards" and that type of sentiment ... as much as I'd like to agree with you , I actually don't.

Comparatively , most people are 'fairly' intelligent as it goes these days. That's evolution for ya.

Problem is that they are so gullible. Like was mentioned , believing what the TV tells them coz TV would never lie aye :peace: In a sense this makes them idiots sure ... but doesn't mean they are willfully dumb. It is mass mind-control that has been perpetuated for ages and the peoples are not to be held fully accountable as I see it.

It might piss you off. IMO I think a lot of them are scared because they believe reefer madness. Stay cool about it, let them see you are not crazy. If you start a debate about it the cooler you stay the more impact you will have on them.

Getting angry about ignorance is not good for your health. Try to educate them slowly.

Brick is exactly right.

These peoples are scared of significant change ... most peoples are.

But just like 'the masses' views on Slavery , The Church , Abortion and Homosexuality etc peoples opinions will slowly evolve also ... yet it must be done as slow and gradual (and educational) change and not as a Full Frontal Assault. :(

For an bad example : Would a Lesbian 'come out of the closet' to her God Fearing parents about her sexuality by donning the leather kit and performing lewd acts with another female in the loungeroom over tea and biscuits? ... or would they take a more subtle approach?

However , let's take slavery and racist segregation as the analogy ...

Could the Negro slave subtly have a chat with his masters about his persecution over Tea and Biscuits? ... No.

Could they contact the Transport authorities to take up the matter of segragation on public transport and be heard? ... No.

In both cases direct action and protest were needed , ala Rosa Parks was/is famous for the latter for standing up on the bus ... and Abraham Lincoln (and many others) were well known for the former ... which even resulted in a Civil War :)

So , I'm too stoned and not sure how I was going to summarize ... but I'm sure you can make up a summary for yourself ;) heheheh

Oh well , Cheerz All and Stay Vigilant :)

Budman :)

Quoting Bill Hicks;

" That's what I hate about the war on drugs. All day long we see those commercials: "Here's your brain, here's your brain on drugs", "Just Say No", "Why do you think they call it dope?" … And then the next commercial is [singing] "This Bud's for yooouuuu." C'mon, everybody, let's be hypocritical bastards. It's okay to drink your drug. We meant those other drugs. Those untaxed drugs. Those are the ones that are bad for you. "
