It really is sad to read of wasted police rescources and the wasted cannabis which is a vital medicine to many people. Cannabis has got to be legalized urgently to free up the police to fight real crime.

We always hear of the cannabis found during these "raids", usually through the disgruntled "civic minded" everyday people from Nimbin... No mention of other substances found during such operations, nor any mention of these busts occuring during general business hours.

 

Strange so many otherwise fine upstanding citizens going about their day to day commerce etc with cannabis bagged up on their person.

 

Even stranger the "activists" never leave the boundaries of Nimbin to support those whom are affected by these "cruel and inhumane, archaic laws"... I do ask why.

 

Police patrol many cities/towns in other states on an area by area basis, stopping and searching people and handing out fines etc, yet only Nimbin seems to be persecuted...

 

Draw your own conclusions folks but remain aware... and safe.

i would have more sympathy for em if they had`ve kept their bullshit beliefs about hydro to them selves.

True Chron =) , My was more aimed at the Embassy than the normal everyday choofers of Nimbin, I never meant any offence to Nimbin in general, just to the way of thinking of some of the people who "represent" it in the wider community.

I get the feeling the NSW gov want Nimbin to die and go away. How easy is it for the cops to get brownie points. Just go to Nimbin put on the jack boots and search the whole town. I heard the butcher was selling deals in suasages, or you buy the rear end of a whole sheep, already comes with seasoning.

 

And don't talk about the cake shop!!

 

They are just making themselves look very stupid and even more hated.
