Drugs found in Nimbin CBD search

Recommended Posts

DRUG sniffer dog operations returned to Nimbin on Thursday netting police 580 grams of cannabis with an estimated street value of $6000.

Police executed a general search warrant for the Nimbin CBD about 1.30pm, resulting in one arrest and one cannabis caution being issued.

Further unknown substances were seized and are undergoing analysis.

Officers followed police drug dog Wilson through the village for an hour searching people and potential hiding places for drugs.

Wilson performed 13 ‘indications’ resulting in nine detections and four people being searched.

Following the searches police received further information leading to another warrant being issued on a Blue Knob property which was executed at 7.50pm.

Officers seized 30 grams of cannabis, 41 grams of cannabis seed, 30 cannabis plants and a quantity of cash, plus another 2.3kg of seeds in a sealed container

A man living on the property was charged with breaching bail, possession and cultivation of a prohibited drug, with possible further charges pending.

Bail was refused and he appeared in court yesterday.

Nimbin Hemp Embassy president Michael Balderstone questioned the operation in the light of a recent poll in Sydney indicating 87 per cent of respondents supported the decriminalisation of cannabis.

Happening on a street near you.

Girl joking about the dog squad hitting the local club, 'You've never seen so many guys suddenly learn to dance in your life.'

All those tax dollars for what?

So officer, 'It cost a lot of money to get Wilson and friends to Nimbin. Hard to justify for the results?'

'Charges are still pending. If you get the 2.3kg of seed, multiply each by the $5000 plant it will produce, take into account that there are a lot of people coming and going in Nimbin, some of them from overseas? Well it is just lucky, that the NSW Police Dog Squad was alert to this multi million dollar terrorist conspiracy. We have put another nail in the coffin of international drug trafficking.', Vortex

I love the way they justify costs $5000 a plant what a con. yeah $5000 if it is a heavy yealding plant outdoors under good conditions and top soil. And as for seeds aprox half will be male and not all will sprout. Terrorists huh what a joke ahhh they have large poppy fields for opium in their country, assuming terrorists you are talking about are from the areas around afghanistan. Maybe you should look in our own backyard. Start with those legitimate outlaw biker gangs. Then lebanese then asian then ... wait make it legal then the tables turn in an instant. who wants shit acid or meth when they could buy cheap and consistant potancy from our government (taxed).
