drying questions

Really appreciate all the help and everyone's willingness to respond to posts quickly and with great advice.

It all looks good to me and I really think this weed will be a knock out based on the samplers i've smoked. Glad I hung onto these seeds all those years ago.

 

Looking forward to my next grow down the track.

Hi Guys - just getting a bit of mixed opinion on this one across the net. How often do you "burp" the jar during the first week or two of curing?

Hey Paddy, everyone Burps different, but all basically the same principal. As long as you leave the lids off for at least 30-40 minutes to let any condensation out and a bit of moisture it will be fine. i do a Burp once in every 24 hours for the first week or two, then just gradually scale it back to once every 48 hours. if you think they may be a little too moist just burp them with lid off for an hour for the first couple of times. There is a lot of info on the net but it takes days to filter through it all and find the truth. Just do as you think and judge by the smell, if it smells too much like wet cut lawn, burp a bit longer for a while till it just smells nice =) . Wish I could smell it, sounds filthy. Laters. GH72

My god... my dried plants are like little babies... I need to 'burp' them !!!

 

Just a quick side question. I harvested the other three plants. Two of them looked good - maybe 55% or more brown hairs (didn't check out trichomes too much)

 

However, the third was underdone. It looks like it was about 35% brown hairs and without a microscope, i would say the trichomes were totally clear. Too late to leave it longer now!!! However, what will the buds from this third one be like? Will it just be weaker? Or more of a light high or body high or .... ?
