NZ hydroponics stores raided

Recommended Posts

sounds like the govt`s crime stats report is due out..so they make a big bust to put the numbers up and justify there spending on the war on drugs to the public, also makes it look like they are doin somthin..hope they dont or arnt doing it here..

although seriously i gotta say, the store owners were pretty stupid to be doin what they were doin..every1 knows the cops watch hydro shops closely and have done for ages so youd be pretty stupid to sell clones and other drugs over the counter, especially to people you dont know. and i wouldnt be giving grow advice to any1 i didnt personally know unless it was on tomatoes or somthing..B).. the cops are bastards but the store owners are stupid bastards...but yes it sucks, all that hassle, charges, court time and tax payers $ all over a plant..ridiculous..surely they could spend it on something more important like oohh i dunno, homeless people. maybe they`d like a cheeseburger and a cone before they settle down to thier warm cosy park bench that night....

If you think its getting tough in SA with hydro stores now its looks as if it may get even worse.

While what's happening in the state of South Australia is pathetic grand standing from a state government, I doubt what's happening in New Zealand will be a prohibition model utilised nationally in Australia. I believe, when SA does its books, that it will find a whole lot of interstate cash it enjoyed has evaporated since it notched up the difficulty in indoor cultivation. If SA has dipped on the swing then logically other Australian states are the beneficaries of a diaspora of cultivators, thus they won't want to emulate the prohibition model and lose a gained gravy train.

NZ and Australia share the same common law system. A precedent set in one country can be used in the other. So if the courts find that by selling hydro equipment you are supporting cannabis cultivators (conspiracy and enabling) than that becomes precedent in Oz. That's the law folks and its the law that counts. Yep and that Switched on Gardener mob sound like complete idiots. They may have also shut down Australian stores in the next few years.

Some additional video links sent from a friend.

In the first one, near the end, they say that they also seized the drug "P" from some? WTF is "P"?

'P' is short for 'Methamphetamine'. Never had it and never will. It's basically made from house old chemicals, other medication tablets that are imported from Asia and acid from mobile phone batterys. They should try and crack down on this shit instead of weed. How many people do you see and hear of stealing and mugging to get themselves there next 50 bag?, effing muppets or should I say puppets.

Peace

I went into the Switched on Gardener Stores in 2006. They stocked heaps of Canadian Express (HA through Mark Harding SA), Growth Technology (raided big time in 2005 and linke to meth) and bongs and stuff. Anyone with half a clue should have been shopping elsewhere. P stands for Pure and is meth. Pure shit!

Gotta love it when one drug user disparages another for their choice of psychoactive. B)

"This isn't a war on drugs it's a war on personal choice please keep that in mind at all times okay?"

The guys at these shops are just like you or me or anyone else. Well, maybe a little stupider but not much. This is little more than a political play for power by the police forces. The Switched On Gardener stores just made themselves too big a target and because the individuals involved in the business weren't very subtle about their activities they got busted. Unfortunately to make a political point the police have taken down everyone involved.

Won't be surprised if we see a few of those charges dropped in the end, and certainly won't be surprised if this kicks up a nasty political shitfight over decriminalisation/legalisation at the same time.
