Whats going on here

I have 5 master kush in my veg room and 2 of them look like they are flowering, i thought they might have been preflowers but i'm not sure , the others are growing fine it's just these 2 that look like they are starting to flower under 18/6. Has any one heard of this?

 

This is from a few days ago and there are more hairs and that now

Nah they arent preflowers mate. Definately female hairs

Havent heard of this happening before under 18/6 and normal conditions...

Stressing them may cause them to flower anyways? Not sure, hopefully someone has a good idea for you

You say "18\6", this should not be happening.

Stress? possible. Stressed out bud I've had did not look that strong in bud like this

Check your timers are 18/6 and not 6/18

Write down when lights are on and off according to timers and physically check the lights are on

Make sure your ballasts aren't overheating (Some have heat cutouts) and have ventilation.

Yeah i've been checking the timers and everything is sweet, i check every night, they are actually getting 20hours of light, off at 4 back on at 8. I have since put the worst into the flower room may as well let it do it's thing. And i tipped the other back to where it was veg growth. Just have to wait and see how it goes now

Are they from clones or seeds? Is it possible they have auto flowering genetics in them?

Hang on a bit, I'm confused , you said 18/6.

Now when I went to school, back when the dinosaurs roamed, you couldn't get 20 hours of light from 18/6

The light is important, but so is the dark.

For me 18/6 works. I have heard, not seen, people altering the times but 18/6 works for grow.

Try 18/6. It will take a bit for the plant to revert back to grow and you'll have to keep an eye on it for nasty little flowers, but you can return it to grow.

As Mongy stated "Is it possible they have auto flowering genetics " and I don't know of anyway scientific or otherwise around this one short of what you've done and put her under 12/12 and let it do it's thang...............Grow.

ok merlin try and keep up , my timers are set on 20 hours on, 4 hours off = 24 hours, there is nothing wrong with the timers or the lights hence the 20 hours of light will the extra 2 hours make that much difference.

 

And mongy they were from seed, master kush regular seeds from dutch passion. As i said the other ones are growing fantastic it's just 2 of them that went all weird.

If it was me I'd leave them in the veg room I think to see what happened. ie. if they go back to veg or continue to bud? If they continue to bud I'd be asking Dutch Passion to please explain why you have regular seeds auto-flowering. Plants won't auto-flower unless the genetics are there to make them. If they are, how did they get there if Dutch Passions breeding is decent?

 

How old are they?

Thanks for the input mongy i appreciate it. I might make an email to see what they say, can't hurt. As for how old they are i started them as soon as i got them and at the moment they are 9 weeks old.

 

Out of the other 3 girls i got 2 good mothers any way just thought this was worth mentioning never heard of this happening and haven't heard of an auto flowering MK. I'll let you know if i get a reply,

i feel that they may be pre flowers

cause when buds start to from,,,,,the leaflet number start to decrease eg,,,, 7 to 5 to 3 to single in full bud

and in that pic i can clearly see the leaflets are increasing

so

it feel to i like she is still in grow

 

strange indeed that MK has two distinct Geno types

are the others all males??????????

i doubt it

but could there be some mix up in the seed planting and labeling ???????

freek geno types are very rare like 10,000:1 or less

so it is possible

but i doubt that too

cause

MK is a hybred or a F1

all the seedlings should be uniform, meaning they look almost exactly the same

and all will display hybred vigor, thats all the tingz we hafe love about MK like big chunky sticky budz and lots of em

thats why only they can sell such a consistent product that can only be grown from seed once

 

if you do have a freeky geno type it could be better or worse

only 1 way to find out

and the only way to keep it going harvest after harvest is to clone it
