Hey everyone,You know that the price of electricity is going up ?How much extra do u reckon

it would go up in price per quarter for a 400watt hps currently running on grow at 18 hrs per day??

What i do know is its really gonna suck, it's bloody hard enough now paying the friggen bills..

Man i'm so pissed right now the friggen greedy pricks,,,,,anyhoo ,that's better needed to get that off me chest.....

p.s the light usually added about 60 to 80 bucks to the bill, but thats really just a guess?

mate i hear ya .. my last quarter of lecky was 979 bux ... yep , crippled me .. but we got to get smarter and grow more plants.. and get more study time on how much more bud we can produce , given the power we use .. time not to be afraid and clone ya arse off and sit back for half a year ..

Weed will always be worth more than electricity Even if the extra 40 bux over 3 months for your 400 watts is gona cripple u financially other growers will have to put there price up so u will pay more either way.. Called inflation n happens with anything.

 

Now if u wana find out how much it cost, calculate how much u spend now .eg. look at ur bill n use a calculator. Then down the bottom will be a customer service number... Ring em n ask what the increase will be

My electricity bill went up a massive 20% compared to the previous bill, even though the usage hadn't changed.

So much about the State Governments promise that we'd benefit with the deregulation of the industry. Ever since then, the only way has been up with the price of it all. grrr

it's fucking BS my bill without my lights on this quarter cost as much as my quarter on 12/12 did. I am about to put the lights back on but as you say we gotta start wising up to grow more per watt. Make use of light movers and different styles of shade etc... Look into less watts of HPS and more supplmental LEDs right near the leaves when they get better etc etc... Or i was thinking a light mover that does circles round the plant IDK something new and wierd that works

 

Also as stated above growing is still by far cheaper, its having to pay it all in one hit that kills. We pay our bill off bit by bit weekly now its far more manageable, most quarters we only owe less than a hundred or are in credit. I would suggest this option to everybody as it softens the blow at billtime !!

I've heard changing to Intergral (spelling) is a good option and it is much cheaper apparently.

I um suppose this would be a bad time to say i work for a electricity company

 

and um get a discount on my bill oh and a payrise annual payrise

 

But dont hate me its not my company putting prices up,its the GOVERMENT

Thanx for all of your responses .I'm currently not working due to back injury so i get 40 bucks a fortnight

taken out of my centrelink stingy payments to try and make it a bit easier each quarter........spaceleaf

well guys if you use a 2000w 24volt power inverter you can run two 600w bulbs on 24volts and save a shitload

if anyone is interested in saving HEAPS on power this is the way 2 go
