if you have plants with similar leaves or bushiness. that's a good starting place.

 

for example:

japanese maple (small height) or Bamboo

 

We had a little shrub in the back yard with small fan leaves and white petal flowers, if you put two leaves together you would think it was a cannabis leaf

 

tomato and basil plants (i hear) are good companion plants...i dont know if thats true or not...
