Triacontanol

G'day All,

Have been reading up on the natural pgr Triacontanol. Seems to be a key ingredient in a lot of the floral boost products.

Has anyone tried this as an additive? and, with any success?

Have found some for sale on e-bay ( for a much cheaper price than the " boost " products ) and would just like to know if it's worth giving a try?

Apparently it's mixed with Polysorbate ( something they put in ice cream ) so that it will mix with water.

Great topic THCME, an area that needs further study for sure...

 

Seems Triacontanol is a fairly widely used growth stimulant in floriculture, also a key ingredient in Superthrive and rumoured to be the hidden magic in Canna boost.

Its PGR properties in cannabis are not well documented, possibly just a case of increasing bud sites as it does with Roses? or does it actually decrease internode length.

 

Will be digging deeper, let you know what I find...

Those not wishing to purchase the gel online will find it naturally in alfalfa meal. Let a cup and a half of meal or crushed up pellets soak in 5L of aerated water for about 24 hours and apply during veg. I have heard concerns that if used during flower you may get too many small budsites but when I have the time I'd like to do a comparsion grow used either only during veg or during the whole cycle.

I'm currently trying Triacontanol on this grow. It was recommended to me from my local hydro store as a replacement for my Ductchmaster add.27 the product im using is called massive bloom from green planet. I will try and keep everyone informed to how it proforms. That being said the man who runs the grow shop in my town has never been wrong about these sorts of things so I expect it to proform.

What instantly comes to mind is that "organic rockjuice" which my mate swears by. I've seen it work on his sativas and defenitey hardens up the nugs giving the classic hydro look .

 

Could this be the mystery ingerdient to that product ?......

Well the results are in so to speak, 3 full grows with Triacontanol I hve seen an average yeild increase of 8% Which is not insignificant. I it was enough to more than pay for the product. anyways virdict is or me that I will continue the use of said product.
