What constitutes a hydroponic plant in WA?

Recommended Posts

do you know what the charges/fines are for getting caught with a hydroponic setup?

i know a dealer i was buying off a little while ago said he got busted in january, they took all his equipment... and a month later he let me know that he was starting up a new batch of clones... so im guessing no jail time? maybe just a big fine?

Australia likes to have very open laws so they can enforce them any way that they please. If they said this is defined by soil-less culture people would just add a little soil. they leave laws so open in Aus so they can police everything to how they please if they specify laws tio the exact then people can find small loop holes.

F@#K im really getting sick of Australia. Punish the weak and innocent and let the guilty free.

I haven't heard of gaol time for any cannabis offence unless there are other charges associated like firearms or the amounts are significant like 20kg +. Most of the time out here in the wild west you get a fine, told you're a very naughty boy and end up with a criminal record.

Pretty stupid really. The legistlation as it stands is rather strange in it's punishments and definitions. I'm sure I can dig up a copy of the thing and see if I can post it up here.

far as I know you can grow 2 plants here and get away with a slap on the wrist and a fine(me keeps to this amount)or maybe a trip to a rehab place for drug education(you will meet more hook ups here than any where!)and as long as you don't have lil bags of it everywhere or bulk unexplainable cash, you can claim it's for personal use. Just be aware, the law see's no difference in a seedling to a mature plant, so if you get caught with say 6 seedling, thats 6 plants, so as soon as your finished cloning, get rid of the ones your not using..

Would still get done for hydro even if it is in soil inside, just the way they view it, artificial cultivation. you will lose all your hydro gear regardless of grow size, this is the most annoying part, replacing it when they already have your Plants!!!!

never been done, but been in on one that did a long time ago, not very nice.

They should just regulate and tax pot, so we don't have to do this shit, could you imagine what would happen to this country if we had to go through all the shit we do growing just to get a beer! Take a leaf out of Hollands book, seperate soft and hard drugs, give people a chance to enjoy a smoke without dealing with dodgy dealers that try and get you on heavier stuff. At least trial it for a few years, i don't know about some of you degenerates =) but I don't deal, I don't use hard drugs, i give back to my community and i just wanna come home give my dog a hug and spark one up without having to hide it like a lil kid stealing cookies. After 20 years the backward views of this country shit me, church groups influencing right wing politics, buisness interests doing the same, do gooders and my shit doesn't stinkers not looking at the facts. WE are going to do it anyway you stupid pricks, so legalize it, tax it and shut the F***K up. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. GH72

I think with the law in WA written the way it is (this can sometimes be good and sometimes bad), if you grew in soil under lamps it would not be defined as 'hydroponic'.

The law courts support the "law" word for word. There is no way you would lose a case for hydroponic cultivation if it was in soil under lamps here.

No idea about the rest of the country sorry.

Just if you are in WA don't admit to growing soil+lamp plants as being hydro. Let them charge you with it, tell them nothing, then the case will fail in court and you can claim costs. If you say they aren't hydro before that, they will downgrade the charge and get you anyways.
