Extreme Bong Cleaner

I went about a month without cleaning my bong (which for me is a rare thing...I like that shit to be sparkly!) and it was looking pretty gross, so I gave it a good soak in metho, filled it with some rice and shook that thing around as I usually would, and almost all the gunk was gone.

But, just below the ice notches, about level with where the "shotty" is, there's this light brown film. I can't physically get to it by any means, because the ice notches block all my aerial efforts.

Anyone got any ideas? If it's going to be too expensive I'll just leave it, but yeah. Suggestions would be great

This is what I use, and it's fkin magic. I had an old piece of glass sitting in a closet for about 6 months, when I stopped using it, I just kinda emptied it, gave it a quick rinse and put it away (got my new double chamber).

 

I pulled it out a couple of weeks ago to give to a mate and used salt and isocol to clean it up for him. Worked like magic even though the crap was all dried on and shit.

First off all my stuff is Glass with no rubber so carn't vouch for how soaking rubber bits goes

 

Yeah ISO and rock salt works great I use that method for a quick clean during a session if the bong gets real dirty or in between a full strip down clean, I find sometimes you get some stubborn resin patches that can take a lot of shaking with the ISO and salt to get those bits squeaky clean.. And this was the time when I broke my first RooR so I don't really like do long period of shaking any more haha..

 

I have since looks to other methods and by far the easiest solution is Simple Green.. You get a big ~2l bottle of it from Bunnings (~$22) and I just fill the bong up or soak my glass pieces in a cup of it and let it sit for a little while (from 30mins to overnight) and then just rinse out with water.. I re use the simple green and just use a tea strainer to filer the ash out when I pour it out of the bong and back into the container (or a separate one so you don't taint the fresh stuff) and it lasts for ages.. I also will reuse the ISO a few times till it looks a bit nasty haha

 

Both methods works well but like I said for really stubborn resin marks on glass just let it soak in simple green and rinse out.. If you have a small scrubbing brush that fits into your bong you can speed up the process by giving it a bit of a scrub but I usually just fill the bong up when I finished for the night and worry about the nest day.

 

The cheapest/one of the only places I have seen for 100% ISO is HERE and I only just received my package from them of 5l of ISO ($17 bucks for shipping to give you a rough idea) If your not too worried about % (I plan to do some oil extraction etc) the second best is Jaycar who sell 200ml spray bottles for $7 Bunnings also sell ~100ml bottles for ~$12 but I don't know the % of these ones but assume 80%+. I don't like the stuff in chemists like ISOCOL as it has perfume in it and lower % meaning more water in it but it is ~$12 for ~330ml

 

Any other question happy to help out as I like to smoke out of clean pieces nothing worse that getting to someone's place for a sesh and have some filthy bong to use

Probably the greatest bong cleaner of all time, its from a local SE QLD chemicals company called Barrell Chemicals, all you do is put probably a 2cm layer in the bottom of bong half fill with hot water from tap, then swirl for a minute then BHAM cystal clear....best shit ever invented for cleaning of bong...not sure on prices as i get it for free from a lady that works there...however if you want to order some i am sure it is possible

Just make sure you wash it out with water before using or it could be a very flamable bong

ACETONE is by far the best stuff to clean your glass bong dont try use it on any form of plastic/rubber it will melt it... it evaporates in seconds and then all you need to do is rinse... it melts all the resin down to liquid... best bong cleaner ever n 100% alcohol does the trick too...

So I guess I'll head of to Bunnings sometime and see what I can find.

In regards to the rubber thing, my bong too is all glass so that won't be a problem.

ACETONE is by far the best stuff to clean your glass bong dont try use it on any form of plastic/rubber it will melt it... it evaporates in seconds and then all you need to do is rinse... it melts all the resin down to liquid... best bong cleaner ever n 100% alcohol does the trick too...

 

 

Be careful with acetone on some of the labels etc on the glass as it can take them off as well
