any coco that is fine grade on not the stuff with bark chunks in it is fine...

it doesn't matter if its the stuff you buy in the 50lr bags at the hydro store or the bricks from coles, Safeway of bunnings... as long as they are flushed 3 - 4 times with very hot water the quality is exactly the same... i did a side by side this year with my 50ltr pots and there was no difference at all..

but if you got the extra $$$ and like to pay for name brand stuff why not :peace:

I like the brunnings 15ltr bricks from bunnings cant beat them for price and as i said after flushed 3 - 4 times i find no diff in them and the quality can canna coco

As i said cant beat NF coco for VALUE and Quality.

I had a look at those brunnings bricks at Bunnings the other day, it was around $8 for a brick that makes 15ltrs.

NF 5kg Coco brick = 55ltrs = $10

So they are much better value imo

If you look the shit bunnings sell is coco peat not coco coir.. well every bunnings ive been to in past 12 months..... coco peat dosn't have near as much air capacity as coco coir.... Take a look when your flushing it ready for use, grab a handful of brunnings coco peat squeeze it and note how long it takes to expand again (it prolly wont even full expand again... Then do the same with NF coco coir it will decompress as soon as you stop squeezing.

50L bag of NF can be had for $20-25

$10.50 for 45L of bunnings.... spose it depends if a hour of ya time is worth more then 10bux... R U sure those $3.50 bricks make 15L all the 1s ive seen make 9L?? and it usually ends up being 7-8L after fucking around flushing.

An hour? took me nearly 2 hours to do 4 bricks which would have only made not even 25L, definately buying the bagged stuff next time.
