Hey guys i was just wondering how often i'd need to feed my plants
good question

the simple answer is feed on demand

it just takes a bit of experience

a few successful harvests under your belt

and you will soon be able to tell how hungry your plants are and how often to feed them

meanwhile stick to the recommended plan for your nutrients, for your hydro system

seen

drainage and grow room temps govern how much and how fast you can feed

tis up to you how you wanna galong so

coco has poor drainage

clay balls have excellent drainage

if you have co2 injection combined with high grow room temps and excellent drainage you can feed 24/7

if you hand feed you might wanna feed every second day

then you want a pure coco grow

each plan will tell you how much and how often to feed

for each different hydro style

stick to it

it is guaranteed to deliver

irey guidance

I did have a small cupboard op started once and successfully germinated some seedlings, grew one out to a spindley little tree which did flower despite in the end looking pretty sick and unhealthy. Unfortunately I don't think with my partner I could do it again (think I made a wrong choice there, she seemed ok with it back when we lived seperately but anyway).. when I think back on my op it's hard to know what the problem really was.

I believe while it was inside it got to start of veg and looked very healthy though I believe temperatures were too high in the box but still looked great at start of veg.. Soon they started to turn though, leaves were yellowing out and dying from the bottom of the tree first, shrivelling up and then next level would die.

I figured this might be due to underfeeding since it's cannibalising its leaves so I started up with the nutes... but that seemed to accelerate the rate at which leaves were shrivelling up. Then I started thinking maybe its too hot in this box for veg so I moved them outside... they did continue to grow but as fast as new growth appear another node of leaves died. In the end problems growing combined with problems germinated means I bought like 30 seeds and only ever got 1 plant to flower very poorly.

So that's the story of my first and only grow. Despite all my research I can't find a guide which tells me if plants doing this, problem is that... I need a troubleshooting guide like one for your home internet... If lights are off, check the power... if light x is red, check, the phoneline, if lights green check y on the pc etc...

So the question is... with all this unknown information, how do you know a plant wants to be fed?

I just wait until the coco looks and feels pretty dry usually the top 3 cm and if you can lift the pot just do it by pot wait.

post picks when its ready. keen to see how they turn out. lower the feed strength and check stock water and you should be fine. some strains need drastically less food than others.
