pistels?

Recommended Posts

Hi fellas, Ive got a couple of girls growing in the bush, but i'm starting to notice the pistels or white hairs

are starting to shrivel up , i dont know whats doind this? i've added some trace elements to try and

address the problem ,just in case their is a lack of some type of nutrient in the soil......but there are heaps of grass hoppers around,i wonder if they can trans mit a disease to the plants thru there biting and chewing?

If anyone else has had this problem please let me know how you corrected the problem..

Thanx for your advice in advance.

p.s the plants are nice and green about 5 to 6 ft tall and slowly dieing but are still slowly flowering.

cheers again...peace.....spaceleaf..............

pistils stay white / cream coloured only for so long, after which they do shrivel and dry turning orange / red in colour cause they are tired of waiting to be fertilized, thats a natural plant process

also when pistils catch male pollen grains and are fertilized they shrivel up too

gradual yellowing of the lower leaves are a natural plant process too, as the plant is at the end of its life and rather than go through the complex process of making new starches sugars and chlorophyll it translocates these building blocks from the large fan leaves to make flower clusters, hence the lower fan leaves yellow and die

:P
