My preference is evidence based research. I thought self, how best to describe the research I take as gospel (to coin a phrase) so I quote Wiki:

* meticulous observation, enumeration, and analysis replacing anecdotal case description

* recording and cataloguing the evidence for systematic retrieval.[1]

 

Whilst not doubting Cannabis's multiple uses for medicinal purposes, laws need to change to make research viable, and whilst appreciate the efforts of 'home naturopaths', to advance these options, feel uneasy when the word's "cancer","cure", and "cannabis" are used in the same sentence.

Do the countries where the use of cannabis is legal or regulated, use this treatment? It does beg the question, that if your research that you quoted is so respected and peer reviewed than why wasn't trialed in countries where it could be used?

 

Recent advancements in cream based therapies for skin cancers makes me wonder, that if the research you quoted is 36-37yrs old, then maybe there's an argument to say that the modern creams are more effective amongst the general population in treating this condition.

 

Inmo, more recent research need to be undertaken. The research you quote needs to undertaken using more modern techniques.......think about.....37yrs ago......computer? Telephone? Plumbed Sewer? Doesn't it make you wonder if this was the case (cure skin cancer) why the big pharmaceuticals didn't research and isolate the active ingredient and charge the proverbial arm and leg?

 

Again must re-iterate, support the use of cannabis for medicinal purposes. But claims for cure's on illnesses that kill people (guy from round here was 28) need solid, reputable, peer reviewed research or it beckons ridicule.
